Attended the annual Inverell Motorcycle Restorers Rally last weekend. A good turnout as usual with a couple of interesting bikes.
    Early 1960's BMW 250 single.

Interesting mostly BSA with Honda trail bike forks and wheels with disc brakes, and a Harley 883 top end, Diahatsu car electric starter and Kubota tractor alternator (plus other bits I cannot remember) but runs sweet and goes hard too.

This would be nice in my shed (so long as I didn't have to ride too far).

Excellent Murdo. VT250F looks average, but good to see one out and about. I think the BSA builder has been very "creative", but I can see why Grey thinks it's not great. BMW single would be fun to ride?

It just doesnt look right with the Honda Forks and disc brake...Just something doesnt look right about it.. You have to give the builder his due though... at least it is finished and running :)

This Honda ST1100 and trailer set from the NRMA for electric cars that have wandered away from the city. Has a Honda generator mounted in the trailer charging through a converter to the car plug.

A petrol powered generator to charge an electric car , isnt it ironic

Love the Elsie, she is georgeous

A few Yamaha dealers have been painting up xsr900’s in the old rd250lc schemes to invoke the retro look, they look trick, need a side cover to pull off the look

This rally is back on again this year, April 21 to 23. Might get some locals to go along too.

Good roll up for the rally with over 300 bikes entered. Some I liked and some new ones.
John Ingle has owned this bike from new. Yamaha DS6 250 from 1969.
