Kawasaki have been dropping hints on YouTube of their new H2 model, this has been going on for a month, there is much conjecture as to the size of the bike , ie 600 - 1400cc, all we know is that its supercharged

    Here are the vids

The bike is being revealed to the world today at the INtermot Bike show, pics of the bike have now surfaced, and Im a huge fan, what do you think ?

Im thinking its a 750ccc , from what I hear a supercharger will increase the power by 30-50%, but for 50% that's fully tuned, I daresay Kawasaki will detune it, so a 750 with 140hp stock + supercharger should come in close to 200 ponies

I am a huge fan of the rotrex style centrifugal supercharger and that appears to be what this is.
I think that this is what MotoGP bikes should be using. It would mean that virtually anyone can make a competitive engine at a very low price.
But the manufacturers are never going to let that happen though.

I agree that it would not be 1000cc that would be over the top. The calculations I did to to fit one on my 400 can put out 100 hp.
It is not difficult to double the base horsepower. As you can see here

Not my cup of tea for the styling, if that is the finished design, because it looks too mixed up.
I wish they had made it as the ZX7-SC rather than the streetfighter/motard/something-or-other style.

Kawasaki can learn how to do it with 750cc, then build a 250/4 with the same technology. :thumb_ups:

I'm thinking 600 or 750, probably heading more towards a 750. The pictures posted made the engine look pretty large, hey few more hours and we will all know, stay tuned.:thumb_ups:

So where can you race a supercharged bike? They have been banned since after WW2 when BMW cleaned up.
In any case, I am just happy that finally we have a supercharged motorcycle and it uses a centrifugal blower. Despite all the harbingers of doom these engines have a perfectly linear power delivery, as can be seen in the dyno graph that I posted before, they can be ridden easily at low speeds and ample (haha) power is available everywhere.
What's even better is it shows up how ridiculous MotoGP rules are that they use naturally aspirated engines for no reason whatsoever except to make it expensive.
