1984 Honda VT250F2-E that I bought from Melbourne. The story I got was that an older bloke owned it and had died about 2Yrs ago and son wanted it gone. Had it trucked to Risky's place and picked it up on my way to the Newcastle Rally. It has 22,300Km on the speedo and it tally's with what has been written in the workshop manual.
Tried to but it buggered up. Is missing the sidecovers, has leaking fork seals, usual bodgy wiring and buggered bolts, but the electrics all work. came with a spare tank, workshop manual and a pack rack. Tyres are perished beyond safe, so will need some new ones there. I like the engines, just not a fan of 16" front wheels. Don't know what this means but the manual says it developes 43Hp @ 12,000rpm. Looking to do a mainly cosmetic restoration, service the engine and ride it!
Nice looking machine Murdo, 43 hp is nothing to sneeze at. Can't complain about the mileage either for a bike that is 30+ years old.
Nice little bike Murdo. Did those ComStar style wheels ever get made in a 17, maybe you could change it over?
