That's literally a competition to see who can out fugly the others, jagged, angular and they look so piecemeal, it's every style and no style all at once

I love the Honda with its sharp small headlight. So small and sharp that the instrument dash doesn't fit behind it. No problem though, no one will notice it slapped on the outside of the bodywork like that

You could impale pedestrians on some of those headlight assemblies. I wonder how they get past the design rules?

Personally the TFT display is the worst motorcycle trend for me

    darn tootin.

a dial? needle? dont even have to look, just peripheral vision "its there somewhere"...

digits? you gotta LOOK. READ THEM... takes a second... and typical 5 segment display, they all look the same... 0 looks a lot like 9. (110 looks a lot like 50... :p )

throw in some sunlight, glare, whatever...

i prefer to be looking at the road... and maybe the odd distraction walking on the footpath... :p

each to their own but i seriously hate all these gimmicky things we have now. ABS, quickshifters, slipper clutches, combined brakes, things that beep and far too many buttons...

then again i have speakers, a stereo, dashcam, and a USB port... i was a courier, i needed them!

Agreed, but not for the reasons you may think.

My main problems with TFT dashes are their usually small size, their poor performance as far as refresh rate / frame rate is concerned, and the inability to customise them to your liking.

For example, they may give you a digital temperature gauge with no actual temperature reading. Give me the numbers please.

Some of them can be good, if they have good performance/refresh rate and are customisable.

I like the ones that give you a digital version of an old school set of clocks, particularly for tacho and speedo readings.

If they are big enough to be readable.

LED headlights... not a fan. Good at first, but they lose brightness fast I've found. My MT09SP when new had the low beams and high beams at the same brightness. By the time I sold it, the low beams had lost about 50% brightness by my estimation.

I've got some H4 HID bulbs with the solenoid low/high beam control that I'm planning to see if they work out.

The led bulb that I had in the lounge room dimmed markedly and didn't last very long at all considering the price.
