Ok lets assume you had no intention of reselling you across. Like assume that you plan on 0$ resale value. What would you do to your across to make it as light as possible? I had some thoughts about mirrors, indicators, rear foot pegs ect. But assuming bang for buck is a factor, what would you do?
Mirrors, indicators? Are you never going to ride it on the street? In your other thread you asked about adding another disc which is going to add a unsprung weight.
as mentioned, is this bike going to be ridden on the track only or will you still be riding it on the roads?
I just meant lighter mirrors and have a mirror indicator combo so the other indicators can be removed and lighter rear indicators. yes this will be used on the road. I will note i dont care how it looks either.
ahhh ok now i get you, hummmmmmm thats a good question, all the tings you'd normally take off your bike to make it lighter you will need for the road ie lights ect, tbh id say the weight you would have would be so minimal it prob would not be worth it. i'd honestly put that money to good tyres. have a look under the fairing what you can rid yourself off, does it have to be a two seater?? maybe fiber glass it into a single?
the rider is already 5 "9 and 70kg. The bike needs to be lighter at this stage. I could squeez out 10 more kg's but id be a rake.
like the across is heavy for a 250, I will probably do a project with photos ect for a leight weight road legal cheap mod thingy. My goal is for it to lose 10kg.
