Picked up my Bench grinder (soon to be polisher) today.. it runs so quietly.. and being an older unit it has Capacitor start.
It will be a portable item so I can take it outside and make a mess out there polishing rather than in the garage.

And the 6" Grinder / Belt sander I ordered 3 weeks ago finally arrived.. 3 week delivery from Melbourne via Fastway Couriers.. what a joke.
Now I have a decent grinder to sharpen drills and TIG Electrodes as well as a sanding belt for any smoothing of metal edges etc.. the belt sanded part will be useful as plenty of small items, brackets etc I have been doing with the angle grinder or Dremel..

I am hoping the fine wheel from the 2nd hand bench grinder fits the new one.. I really dont need a coarse wheel..

    UNADJUSTEDNONRAW_thumb_1291.jpg UNADJUSTEDNONRAW_thumb_1292.jpg

And last item to arrive today was my timing cover for the CB250... It is in pretty good condition for 39 years on a bike..
It will come up nicely with my new polisher :)
Pretty good value at $28 delivered.. most 74 / 75 Honda parts are expensive 2nd hand.

Might be able to get one of those disc sanding wheels to put on the other end of the belt sander.

I ordered a good used CB360 camshaft from the USA and while it hasn’t been delivered yet, it is in Sydney but I will say it is well traveled.
Following the eBay global tracking it has gone from
Brattleboro VT to NASHUA NH, then COLUMBUS OH, then CINCINNATI, then ERLANGER Kentucky, then HEBRON KY, Honolulu HI and finally to Mascot, then Martaville.
And it is still saying Scheduled delivery 20 Feb 19 so it could do some more sightseeing yet

This opposed to a mostly complete CB360 engine from Melbourne $10 on eBay ( a steal really ) and $32 on ego couriers.
Picked up yesterday at Nottingham Hill and is out for delivery today.
You have to love freight companies don’t you lol

Well... Update... the old engine from Vic arrived.. 10 minutes short of 24 hrs from when it was picked up in Melbourne..
And after a very quick look at it... I am more than happy.. it haas paid for itself with 2 simple items.. the Points cover (finned aluminium on the G5 motors) and the points backing plate. these 2 items alone were going to total $75 Plus on eBay.. so $42 for an almost complete motor works for me.. I am sure there will be other bits I can cherry pick from it.
I will get some pics later when my work phone decides to stop ringing.

erlanger kentucky says ebay global shipping.takes longer than normal postage and prone to losing your item. from experience i now freight anything rare through a container shipper and wait as i know it will be treated with respect.

the thread on the tough select grinder has a different thread to other grinders and you cannot get polisher spindles forr them. the toolmac i do not know but suspect the same.. gasweld told me all the grinders have odd threads and they keep abbott and ashby spindles in stock. hope this info helps somebody.

Another update... USA Camshaft arrived safe and sound today.. It is the best of the 3 I now have.. so I am pretty happy with it all.
2 weeks via eBay Global Shipping isnt too bad. I might clean some stuff up over the weekend and coat it all with oil and put it into a plastic container for now.

Make sure you take the polish off those cam lobes with some 100 grit sandpaper before you use the cam. Why, so that the small scratches catch and hold oil to lubricate the cam and follower face.

Yep, it will get a good working over and will have plenty of sticky can lube on the lives as well.

I need to look into a modification that allows more oil to the center bearing and the love dip trays ( for want of a better description)
I need to drill through somewhere so I will dig deeper on that

My care package of bits from IMPEX arrived yesterday... Pretty good actually.. I ordered them the weekend before.. when I got home from my Nth Coast / Tamworth trip last week I forgot about them until Friday night.. they were in stock so I paid the freight expecting them this week but not on Tuesday... and still cheaper than Megazip, Boats etc.. very happy with them on the Yamaha parts.. we will see when it comes to the Honda's.

Didnt have a chance to take any pics but yesterday my new (2nd hand) TT350 head was delivered...after a very quick look the valves all look in great condition with good faces as do the seats. It needs a good clean up and I will see how the valves seat.

I also had a new High Performance Cam chain delivered.. I was going to re-use the original but figured that was just being cheap given everything else I have done. It was within spec but a new High Performance one just takes any concern out it.
Pics will be taken and loaded into the build thread at some stage :)

While I didnt bother taking any pics.. my TT350 Clutch arrived from Toowoomba, my new rear disc arrived from Melbourne and the high quality piston ring compressor set arrived from China via Redfern lol
I still have rear sprocket retainer nuts to arrive as well as Bullet connectors, Merge collector in 304SS and an Angle Grinder holder to make it into a cut off saw. That should do me for a while :)

Monitors have been slowly dying over the last year or so and graphics card also and finally bit the dust recently .... so some upgrades have turned up

    Certainly Bike related.
My new Brain Bucket turned up today.
Bell Bullitt Classic retro Matte Carbon helmet with 2 standard visors, 1 clear and 1 dark plus the Bubble clear visor fitted.
Also came in the really nice Bell Carry Bag.
Perfect fit as long as I don’t want to wear sunglasses
