    Hi all,

You may have noticed from a previous post that I am about to do a resto on my brothers old mc21 nsr250se race bike. Obviously once the bike is done I dont plan on having it sitting in a garage looking pretty, I plan on using it for what it was built for, thrashing around a track.

I used to race back in the early 90's on an rgv with my brother on the nsr but that was back in the days of 250 2stroke meant 250 proddy class. Going through the MA, QMA and a couple club sites it appears there are now different classes to when I was racing back then. From the information I have found it appears to me that formula3 is the main class for a post 90' 250 2stroke? am I correct?

Not looking to building a racing career just looking to do a little club racing and getting that 2stroke flowing through my veins again!

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

Cheers Kiffsta, seen that page and by the looks of it the motorcycle sportsman club is the main racing club around the brisbane area.
From what I have read, the formula3 class is pretty open for modifications on the 2strokes. Are there any things that must be left standard on a 2 stroke 250 in formula3?

    Hey FastEddy,

I believe all changes are governed by Motorcycling Australia (MA) who publish the Manual of Motorsport regs ( see link below). If you want some help and guidance, use the messaging system on the forum and start a conversation with @simidau , Simon races a CBR250RR (very well, I might add) and he is VP of the Sporties club and would be the right person to ask.

    Cheers
