[MEL] 1989 FZR250 2KR - 37K, 12K on motor - $1800

    Yamaha FZR 250 '89 2KR

    Excellent Mechanical Condition
    Registration to May 13 2009
    12000km on the motor

    Passed Roadworthy 2000km ago, May 9 2008.

    -Replaced entire engine approx 1000km ago due to a bad head. Excellent replacement. Perfect Compression. Starts EASY with no choke.
    Work was done by a private mechanic in Hurstbridge, Told me the motor he put in had 10000k on it, and it sure runs like it.
    -New Sprockets and Chain 2000km
    -Carbs Tuned 1000km, Excellent mileage. 180km for 10 Litres (Pre-Reserve) or 6 L/100km. Hybrid Civics dont do that. Whole tank capacity is 14 L
    -Tires are 95%. Rear Replaced May 2007, Front Replaced May 2008
    -Front Brakes 80%, easily road worthy
    -Rear Pads and Disc replaced 2000km ago, 90%
    -Shifts Smooth right through

    Bike has been dropped by me. Fairings are repairable. Im ok. Dont worry.
    Top/Front Fairing can be put back together or get a used one for $200-$300
    Exhaust and right side Magneto cover scratched
    Right and left front indicators have been replaced and are black. easily painted. same with right hand mirror.
    I will be posting pictures of all damage. Signals are the only thing I see that needs to be done for RWC.

    Inspections Welcome: 0450 301 042
    Test rides by licenced riders.

    I can deliver the bike anywhere near a train station on the Melbourne system, but only before Saturday Jan 31st. I must insist on Bank Deposit if picked up after Friday, as Ill leave the bike with a friend. Ya, I know, quick sale.

    Im heading back to Canada.
    My FZR was my first bike,
    This forum helped me look after my bike properly, fix it,
    and find some nice roads to ride on.
