Whatever metal you try and clean on your bike generally involves a certain amount of elbow grease and a reasonable polish. A product called WICKED was recommended to me and frankly it has surpassed every other polish that I have tried. The results are great, used to get it at Repco stores, now A1 auto stores or in Queensland try Qld diesel spares. This product isn't the cheapest on the market but it is in my opinion the best.    Phil

Bugger - I thought Mr Sheene was all I needed?

Thought about polishing the frame and swing arm on the 'Blade but was quickly disillusioned, powder coated them instead, as well as the wheels, really should put some time in and get it back on the road.

    Thanks for the tip Phil.

purple polish is the go as it is nice and gentle and shines up really well. i tend to shy away for autosol because of the fine grit that it uses to remove the grit and grime it can and will leave tiny scratches on what ever you polish, just my opinion

Autosol is abrasive but works well on very corroded surfaces. Used it on a 2 stroke engine casing and was pleased with the result, then to finish it off I used Wicked and the result were so much better, left a smooth finish. I have used Purple also and found it excellent, suppose in this day and age they all have to be good, comes down to personal preference.
