anyone know if its possible to adjust the pegs to move them back and up a little bit, im finding that i scrape the pegs occasionally on tight corners even when hanging off. Bike is a 2kr btw thanks
i'd think you'd have to get a whole new set of rear-sets to bolt on, don't think you can adjust what's there as standard. maybe if you keep leaning over that far you'll just scrape enough of the pegs off to stop them hitting the deck anyway!! <!-- s --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_cool.gif" alt="" title="Cool" /><!-- s -->
Are you scraping the pegs or the chicken-pegs? There's usually a couple of little bolt extension type things underneath the foot peg. Take them off and it'll give you that little bit more clearance. Just a bit of a warning though; if you do take them off then just remember that when your banked over that far, the peg scraping should be a reminder to not push much harder. On road compound tyre's i wouldn't be putting much more stress on them at that lean angle. If it's track work, then hell... go as hard as you want; but remember on public roads you should be riding with atleast 10% in reserve for the unexpected.
Bro just be careful, I've scraped my fairings on the road from leaning over too far. My advice is trade up ;-) If you're scraping the fairings it means ease up or get a new bike ;-)
Exactly which bit of your fairing were you scraping? Anything other than the bellypan and on a weird road and i'd be rather concerned.
Koma, the very bottom of my left fairing. I was over quite far, wore down the knobs on the ends of my pegs that day. Ill get a pic on sunday for you.
If trading up isn’t an option then I would strongly recommend getting the suspension looked at. Recently I tested this out and could not get the pegs to scrape before the rear tyre started letting go. Crank up the rear shock a bit if not already and get some thicker fork oil, if symptoms persist see your local suspension doctor. Riding around with dodgy suspension is dangerous.
