    Hi all,
I am currently thinking of changing my stock muffler, and was just wondering what other people have done to their bikes. The main reason is to get some noise out of the thing.

If you have replaced or tampered with the muffler what have you done or what did you put on, and was it good or bad? My muffler at the moment is stock and I have even thought about making my own. Do you have any suggestions or ideas.

you could make a shorty out of the original (all you need is a steady hand, angle grinder and rivet gun), which will slightly lean out your engine, which will require increasing the jets.

what we did with my mates bike (my old one).
    1.
take the black cover off the can watch you dont damage the ends, cut the can 25mm from the welds
    2.
measure the diameter them get a sheet of aluminum and roll it to size trim it to size we made it about 200mm shorter.
    3.
get it welded i work next door to an aluminium bat place he dod it for a 6 pac.
    4.
put it back together with rivets and go deaf <!-- s:D --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_biggrin.gif" alt=":D" title="Very Happy" /><!-- s:D --> i mean it sounds and looks good but is loud!

I took an 1999 r6 exhaust and modded it to fit my bike, took all the baffling out. sounded awesome, but the r6 can is too fat and looks kinda silly, so im back my original
