Yea thats where I got the shock idea from also .... theres always alot of R6R shocks on ebay from the states .... shipping is usually the killer of course but I have seen a few pretty cheap and around the 100 dollar mark including freight.

That bike u linked to looked awesome and yes sadly the finished project was never posted .... must have died like the forum in general.

You should adjust the exup ... its easy to do.

my exup cables need replacing ill give them a good spray with inox and see if i can adjust them , it cant be out by much i dont think
my carbs need doing the most i think , just hoping that was fuel in the intake and not a problem

I have plans to do the shock conversion eventually .... it has to be an R6R as yes theres some that have different setups.

New exup cables can be hard to find and expensive.

I guess that would have to be fuel ..... stick your finger in it and smell it !

around 55 for new exup cables
i think my shock is a little different to the one the guy used maybe of a later model i think
i think as long as its got the right bolt points it will fit
i will say im only a light guy 68kg and my shock is on its lowest settings and its just right a great improvement even helps with traction i think
the front end is really the difference but cant wait to get her on the track in a couple months

ruckasman i paid 300 for the front end i was fortunate to pay that
i got qoutes from 4 different wrekers down south ( syd melb adelaiade) one qouted 500 posted and the rest matched there price , and those qoutes where for 92 91 models , i got a 96 model
    super happy bout that :dance2:

I'm toying with the conversion, and hearing you say it's so much better is really helpful. Could you advise of everything you needed to do it? Cheers. And nice work on your fizzer mate, it's bloody epic!

cheers not the first to do the front end but i havnt seen another rs 125 tail and its not finished yet , maybe kiffsta still has a front end , apart from wiring the ignition the front end conversion is easy , and i trial and error the ignition wiring , only 3 wires connecting atm i think , everything works , i dont have park light hooked up but its roadworthy still . all you need to know is in above comments

its a straight swap except you need 2 top head bearings both sides , and i left the cover on top and the old spacer aswell as the zx2r spacer the fit snug

Well the wiring won't be an issue as it's for a track bike. But have an adjustable front end and not just stiffer springs on a fizzer is what my dreams are made off. Time to add another thing to my list of things I need money for :(
