    hiya people!
    i need some downpipes... desperatly.
    mine were a bit rusty so i gave them a scrub and the brush kinda went through.... were worse than they looked. lol.

    oh its 3ln.

    I take it you mean the exhaust headers..???

    same thing.

    i cant get any anywhere... and the quote i got to have some made was about £250....

    i need to get my bike going again! then i can get to work on it..

    Would the local muffler shop be able to cut-and-weld sections or patches?

    not really. the rust is all right at the top next to the gaskets. it would be easyer to get some new pipes made.

    Best bet would be to keep an eye on E-Bay or try the bike wreckers..

    That is very unusual for the headers to rust out, although in the UK they put salt on the icy roads I believe??

    i got a non-exup exhaust and im in Bristol city centre, UK contact me at <!-- e --><a href="mailto:st0n3r@blueyonder.co.uk">st0n3r@blueyonder.co.uk</a><!-- e --> 0r 07525169722 have other parts too as I am modding my fzr250 3ln1. only problem is the tops of the pipes need a slight weld as they have rusted thru. but thats a damn sight cheaper than buying a new one ;)

    a friend can get me some done for £45... =]
    and i'll get a belly exhaust done at the same time. =D

    i know the yamaha 600 diversion carbs fit without any trouble, it would be worth seeing if the exhaust side is the same apature/spacing too.
