Hey all! I'm now travelling around 110kms (60kms each way) a day 5 days a week for work and would love some tips on maintenance like what I should change/replace and after how many KMS? All input will be appreciated! Cheers

    G'day mate.

If you're servicing the bike yourself the best bet is to follow the owner's manual for what needs to be looked at and when. For lots of KMS though I reckon oil/filter every 5,000 kms or so is the main thing. Everything else as recommended by the manufacturer. Just keep an eye on your tyre tread, brake fluid levels and coolant level/integrity and you should be fine.

Don't forget to lube the chain and check you're sprockets :)

In terms of plugs, they usually last a lot longer than people think. Sometimes up to 40,000 kms. I'd just be checking them every 10,000 or so (not a huge job, and you wouldn't necessarily need to check every one of them) for burning, fouling, plug gap and cracking etc. If they're good no point of replacing them.

Couldn't agree with you more, seems people tend to replace them often and that may well be because they are cheap.
However plugs tell a story on every pot, so I would check them all as a problem can occur on either cylinder.
But again, if they are good, don't replace them.:thumb_ups:

Have replaced oil and filter, rear tyre and am getting chain and sprockets replaced next week, also had a close call with my front wheel bearings, mechanic had a quick look over my Bike and picked it so I got them changed, he showed me the old ones and they were shredded and missing ball bearings! Lucky he noticed or I'd be bars deep in the road

Plus if it sounds like there is mice squeaking when your front wheel rotates. I always grab the front wheel of a bike and shake it from side to side. If there is a slight clunking someone been doing wheel stands.
