hey guys...flame me if u already know this.. but i only found out this yesterday by accident! k...wen u turn the key to lock the steering, u can turn it a little extra. wat this does is puts the parkers on. imagine wat i thought wen i came out the bank seeing my lights on! anyway,...it only turns the parkers on n nuffin else works..ie start button(doh!), blinkers, horn etc.. anyone a clue y this is? dave
Yep mine does the same thing. The lock is a little stuffed so i have to be careful not to go that far around and flatten the battery <!-- s --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_smile.gif" alt="" title="Smile" /><!-- s -->
i think its for when you double park or need pplz to see your bike in circumstances where you have to leave the bike and u dont wanna leave the keys in. but have the lights on.
Strange....... Yeah I find I gotta push my key in...then let it return for it to go into the locking position.

never knew about the parkng lights (or whatever...). Never tried to be honest, and now I can't go check.
I cant believe nobody has even realised lol. its a standard feature on most bikes I believe. As for the 360 degree rotations dave....dunno how many know about that! lol
Tried it on my new bike ('96 yzf750r) with no luck - I only have a steering lock. I do have a switch that has been removed on my left handlebar 'box' that puts on 4-way flashers though - discovered this one day when I opened it to have a look.
