What Grey said. On my web pages you find some links entitled "assembly guides". Follow some of them and they lead to pages like this http://www.litetek.co/Guide_MikuniBDST_JetHousingAssy.html That should help a little.
Just had a thought, try ringing the Jap Consul in Sydney and enquire if they have some interpreting service available. If they do not then perhaps could they assist with someone residing here in Australia who could help. I know it sounds crazy, but it might just work.
Yep I checked them out before I bought the kits, very clear & helpful. It'd be nice if all instructions were like that, I'd never have to throw another tool across the room ever again !
That's thinking outside the box. Both the kids are at Newcastle UNI so I'll ask them if they know any Japanese that might be able to translate some parts, It's a stretch but quite possible. I thought about finding a Japanese dictionary & having a go but that might take a bit of time. I even have a nephew that has spent a few years in Japan & studied the language at school, might ask him first. I'll post anything I learn.
Yea I looked into doing the translation thing .... theres places online u can pay to have stuff done , but pay u do...very expensive , especially large documents. There was a guy from Japan awhile back that joined but he was just in to get our manuals for the FZR then never returned .... I even messaged him to ask him to translate this small list of carb specs just to test the waters but he never answered.
I've printed the owners manual for the 3LN. I'll highlight some parts & get some translation. I'll start with the EXUP servo & cable adjustment & setting, the NSR has a complicated arrangement with the power valve in the head servo driven as well & it's pretty critical. I'll get him to have a look at the carb specs as well & see how it goes. I'll post anything I get on here.
Am I to understand that you have found someone to do the translation for you, if so well done. Chris and I did up an NSR250 a few years back, again the manuals available were in Japanese. However we found a translated version in the UK, once again a kings ransom so declined. Keep us posted on your progress.
Yes I have a nephew nearby that was a Japanese exchange student in school & has spent the last 3 or 4 years there working. Don't get excited though, it's a big ask & the language is very complicated, not sure what his translation skills are like. But I'll try him out. Its only a service / owners manual not a workshop manual.
Here are some translations as promised. I saved the scans in pdf & attached that file, hope it works. If not how is it done?
