    Evening fellas

I just picked up a very neat looking zxr250. The guy I bought it from told me that he had been on a long ride on it last weekend, fuelled up on the way home and that it wouldn't start the next day.

Ive checked for fuel at the float bowls and thats all good but I cant help feeling that its electrical.
It seems weird to me that a fuel issue would be so fatal instantly.

If the clutch or side stand switch were faulty would the starter still turn over?
I've yet to get time to check for a spark, so thought I'd check in with you clever lot in case there was something really obvious that i should be looking at first.

It was running nicely last weekend so cant be much.

    Thanks in advance

Check for spark first. If the side stand/clutch/kill switch was faulty you would not have spark. Good luck and go through all the system first.

    Nice, thanks guys.

I pulled the plugs today (took me a while to figure out how to get to them under all that mumbo jumbo) and they have a lovely blue bright and rhythmic spark. So there goes the faulty kill switch idea.
I think I will fully charge the battery again and change the fuel. I've never heard of bad fuel from the pump but the float bowls are filling nicely, I have a good strong spark and it has been running nicely until the latest fuel fill. I'm gong to try everything easy before I start going in to compression issues etc so fresh fuel is one of those things.
