why do people think they should destroy bikes like that? It always seems to be the busa riders too.

I have heard that hardcore busa riders either try to get max HP out of them or see how much chrome they can put on those things.

Yeah that looks ugly. Though I have seen a picture of an rgvf with a nickle coated frame like that..and it looked stunning. It wasn't over the top like that is though.

Some folks just want to have a show bike. Some are posers. Some just have no clue.

Personally, I think it looks tacky.

Wouldn't want to dirty it, too much to clean.

    that's the indicator.

I must say that while I have always been impressed with the busa's power, I have never liked busa's. Just too big, and the 'lines' don't do anything for me. Then people go ahead and do these customisations to them to make them even worse.

The top link had an extended swingarm - presumably to eliminate or reduce the tendency for wheelies. But the side-effect is cornering would be terrible. Don't understand that fully - I like the twisties more than just straight power.

To each their own I guess. I like a bike with reasonable power but still handles (thus my current choice). My mom likes harley's and other cruisers... One uncle likes goldwings... I guess some people (i.e. the owners of some busa's) like straight power.

Shorter wheel base means quicker tip in... its the same as a lower angle of rake on the front forks (hence why jacking up the rear preload makes a bike twitchy and tip ins faster).

I've always admire the Busa as a sort of insano-warp-speed-cruiser... but given the ZX12 does similar speeds... thats kinda no longer in a league of its own. But given the choice of the 2 i'd go the Busa... it has a unique and IMO a mad-as phat look to them. Especially with the 'Predator' kit fitted to them it makes it look like their melting onto the ground; and at 280km/h thats something that appeals to me.
