The Lions TT is an event designed to showcase the brilliant roads and towns of regional areas, culminating in a regional festival for motorcycle enthusiasts. Born out of heart-felt passion for a road that has a history of independence, drive and passion; combined with a rich history of innovative transport in Australia; we hope to make the Lions TT an iconic and well-respected annual motorcycle event. The Lions TT is your opportunity to ride the famous Lions Rd without the hazard of oncoming traffic. Not for the faint-hearted the Lions Road twists and turns through the McPherson Range, across cattle grids, babbling brooks and numerous hand-made wooden bridges created from the blood, sweat and tears of the local pioneers. From the marshalling point in Collins St, Rathdowney, and finishing at Ripples on the Creek Cafe, this amazing ride crosses the Queensland / New South Wales border and takes you through spectacular array of flat sweeping farmland, mountain ranges and pristine rainforest, followed by tight curving descents. For more details on how to sign up see the Ride page. The Motorcycle Festival is a three-day motorcycle festival, a meeting point for all motorcycle enthusiasts, designers, engineers, developers and their motorcycles, for international personalities, racers and trendsetters of the scene. For more details on the Festival see the Motorcycle Festival page. http://lionstt.com

Chris I have paid for the weekend but now im not sure what is going on. I'm still going on the Saturday with a mate to see what its all about. I give you a call then. Oh are you taking a bike.
I rode the Lions road last Monday on my way to my daughters on my Honda Dominator. The road has some good and bad bits, but it is definately challenging. Respect to those who can hammer a sports bike through there quickly. Don't know about those who ride American tractors through there. I think they might get their 'classic, wide, low, soft, fat boys' squashed.
My brother went on the TT. Said it was good with the one way traffic except for a few guys who binned it. Hope they were OK and it's a bit of a worry for future TTs as it was meant to be a speed legal event. I head down to Byron Bay quite a bit and my two favourite routes are through Brisbane-Mount Tamborine-Beachmont-Numinbah Valley-Murwillumbah-Byron Bay and Brisbane-Beaudesert-Lions Road-Kyogle-Nimbin-The Channon-Clunes-Bangalow-Byron Bay. Both bumpy and potholed in places with gravel here and there but beautiful scenery.
