basically iv been looking for a different swingarm to put on. somthing nicer looking. and bananery..
was looking for tzr250 3ma, but they are very very hard to find and expensive.
but just remembered that the rgv has a banana swingarm and is still narrow enough! score!
anyone done this or know any of the stats on it being possable?

The NSR250 MC21 has a very similar pivot width; both it and the 3LNs are ~ 202mm (the number may be wrong; it's been quite some time since I've pondered this, but I do recall they were near-identical).

i managed to find that the 3ln is 205mm with all the washers and spacers and stuff.
the rgv is 210mm with all its spacers and washers.
    possability?

Some of the 400/600 guys are 'dropping' in R6 swingers (~15-20mm of surgery on either side), so 2-3mm should be fairly easy.

you mentioned r6 body work... what are u planning on doing? I'm also considering something along that line, cuz i recently (in september) got into an accident... and literately "all" of the fairings are cracked on my bike... the side that went down is now iin pieces..

a few things that crossed my mind:

    1. the front basket, are u making one? or there are something that could be modify to work with?
    2. can you simply re-position the fairing tabs on fzr250s to accommodate r6's fairings? or you are actually using something that just look more modern? i guess more importantly which year of R6's fairing did you use?

please let me know what you have actually done to make that happen...

    thanks

    iv seen a fzr400 with 2006 r6 fairing.
    and a 250 with 2001 r6 race fairing.
    apparantly neither were too hard..
jsut a bit of cutting and moving tabs around.
