where are you doing it is an important question. Here in vic there is nothing to worry about - the test is relatively easy. Hardest thing for me was the slow ride - needing to ride at a pace slower than 10 k/hr for a short distance. The p-plate test here is even easier.

If you are in vic and want details of the test - go to http://www.motorcycletraining.com.au/ and go to their 'courses' page. For both the learners permit and the license course they detail what the tests are.

I don't know about tests in other states, except that they are likely to be harder than here...

Just noticed in another post you say you are in brissy. I guess the post above won't be any help. Tanya may be of some assistance...

And just remember to use your indictator! The only thing in the whole test that involves road rules..and u fail if u forget to use them. Not sure if thats the same in brissy...but thats how it is in vic

hey thats where i got my learners at. They are really good and helpful up there, gonna go for my P's with them too. Funny story, was learnin the whole turning corners thing and changing gears when my jeans on left leg got stuck on the gear. Spent so much time lookin at it, tryin to shake it off i stacked into the rubber tyres forgetting to turn. Looked like a grade A

If you are going to do your p's with MTA sign up to netrider! 10% discount on all training courses... (just tell them you are a netrider member - doubtful that you would have to show your membership card)

I missed that post.. to get my bike learners I showed Qld transport my car licence, answered 5 questions that my friends had told me the answer to, got my pic taken for a new licence and walked out with it <!-- s:) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" title="Smile" /><!-- s:) -->
Oh and paid them some money!!

There is a motorcycle training school up here, they're who i did the braking and cornering course with. I highly recommend you do Q ride, it saves all hassle of having to take someone with you being a learner..

It's pretty hard to fail too.. On my first q ride day, there were 2 people going for their licences and they were shockers and they both passed..
