Sounds like your emptying the bowls too quickly. Flow rate from the petcock sounds a good place to start

Well, the mystery deepens, @Tim_ popped over yesterday so i could have a ride of the Hondasaki , while he was there I got him to give me a hand and swapped out the petcock, had a quick test ride and it started stuttering again, ruled out the petcock. I also swapped the regulator and CDI just to rule them out as well, it still played up. Tim did say that under full throttle she blowing smoke and we did notice that there was a heap of black soot on the exhaust. Maybe Im runing way to rich, I am already 1/4 of a turn in from when I started, on stock jetting it should 1 3/4 turns out which is where I am at, Im going to try it at 1 1/2 and see how I fare.

Checked the fuel lines for any sign of blockage?

I checked all the fuel line when I rebuilt the carbs , one thing I didnt do was replace the plugs when tim and I fitted the engine , I am going to pick some up on the way home then dial back the air mix screws 1/4 of a turn

now that she has new plugs, 2nd hand coils and the air mix screws have been would in a 1/4 of a turn, she runs really well. Phil and I went for a few rides on Boxing Day and its a different bike. I even rode in home from the Sunny Coast today and it ran like a top.
