    Hey everyone...

After living in the wilderness for the last 4 months I'm back

I've been busy wrecking my FZR and have finally put in to a million peaces

    I'm so excited...

    Now comes the rebuild....

    Just a couple Q'z

First up, does anyone know where I can find a parts Catalogue online or be it via a Yamaha dealer for the FZR, as I’m rebuilding ever inch and chroming my beast I want to buy new parts and would like to have an idea how much all will be?

Did I tell you I’m excited... i'm so glad to have grease under my fingernails

    Ok second up...

Any chance I can replace the standard Tacho and Speed Gauge with a new Electronic one? Is that possible... if it is I’m up for it... dunno bout
Power, or wires or compatibilities but it's worth checking

Those are the Main 2 Q's I got...

And can anyone list me with a good dealer/site for Performance Parts as the rebuild might as well be complete....

I look forward to being an integral part of this board now I’m back....

Here’s hoping I’ll be riding in the next 6-8 weeks...

All Yamaha Dealers That Have The YPIC Program Have Some Infomation But Be careful as there are a few Defferent Models and Supplement Sections With The Range ( I found this Out when Getting Parts For My 3hx1

Excellent man excellent... thanks for that information...

Psstt you shouldn’t go saying that around here of you will be busy before 2034 expires... also they'll be asking for the Yamaha Crown Jewels

That race last night was good tho wasn’t it.... the yammys will be a force yet again

That’s awesome news... so have you met Steven before as I can't as I'm down in the woops

I'm going to my dealer this week and I’ll let ya know how I go, I emailed Yamaha- Aus too and asked them, but if you can help last resort that'd be awesome... not that I’d ask you to jeopardize your future for this or anything

No I haven't meet him yet just spoke to him on the phone...

But as for the infomation most dealer wheather it be for a car or a bike will print you out the diagram for the parts you need as long as it isn't for commical gain.. But they will NOT give you a copy of the program but the info you need ..

Like I said if you have a company that wouldn't help you I can always ask up here for you ( I don't know how to use the program I just keep the computers and printers going or them)

you know those seat covers you can put on newer model sports bikes like the plastic/fiberglass hubs that go over the passenger seat

has anyone seen one for a FZR250 ?

would they be hard to make if you can't buy em ?

as for parts catalogue - I was under the impression that they were never translated to english, so I was unaware that they were at all available. However the person from norway indicated that they were available...

I have seen a fzr250 without the rear seat (pictures only on the net) - I think they removed the seat and by the looks of it they couldn't even get into teh 'storage'. The rear was very similar to the gsxr750's rear ends - bubble like. It had to have been custom made though. I have heard about places that do custom fairings, but I haven't looked into it further.

If you have seen em then at least there is hope... I'll have to look in to it... it shouldn’t be that hard surely to make one...

a Friends got a Gsxr 600; I'll have a look at that one and see if a Model can be made of it... then find away to attach it to where the seat should be

Coz I don't plan on taking many people for a ride and if I can make/get a seat cover and design it good so it actually enhancer’s the room under the seat it'd be awesome...

Something for the drawing board that’s for sure

Parts Catalogue, I'm not sure they exist as such... I know Yamaha Motors Online US has a java scripts Parts details for all the bikes barring the 250cc but I’ve heard the 400 is the same... just bigger... what 400 version I dunno

The dude from Norway is talking about a Manual... this has of course the Part numbers with it... I've been emailing him and he says its bout 300 pages all up...

I know you can buy one from Qland Import MC and I’m trying to get my local Yamaha dealer to get me a price for one, I'd like one but the charge Import MC wants for it is like 130 or so, and true to the fact that it is in Japanese isn’t cool, Although he has said that all his mechanics up there can use it fine...

That’s bout all I know... but I’m keeping on searching

    Anyone else.....
