So, I've been planning to EFI this little beast for a while - R6 TBs with pump, Ignitech or MicroSquirt ECU. The '03-05 R6 TBs have CV-style slides. This made them very attractive, as the slides would help maintain flow velocity through the yawning 38mm bores, Well, I purchased a set; the TBs have finally arrived - and they don't fit!!

I don't mean they don't fit the boots, or don't match the spacing - I was planning to do some adaptive work. I mean the TB rack physically doesn't fit between the damn frame rails!!

So - Plan A just landed with a resounding *splat*. There are 2 Plans 'B' under consideration. Plan B-1 is to use 2x TB, each feeding Y-manifolds. Plan B-2 is to modify the stock carbs to accept the injectors. I like B-1; it's simpler from a fab standpoint, AND it's easily reversable. If I core out some part of my carbs, and it DOESN'T WORK, I'd be looking at new carb bodies just to get back to square 1!
