Not sure whether i'am posting in the correct board here. But anyway its related to the MC22.
The idiots who are running our racing over here "MNZ" are now starting to try and enforce enclosed Oil containment trays, or Catch Pans to all race bikes including Classics and Post Classics, but getting strong opposition from this group as you may understand.
My question is that i'am running a MC22 in 250 Production Class, and as this is a 1990 bike it will require an Oil containment system under the new rules, the bike has standard road fairings on and a low exhaust pipe, what are the 250 racers over in Australia using to solve this, as i believe under your rules you have to have an Oil catch system in place.
Is anyone making an attached pan that you can fit, to existing fairings?
Personally i think its a load of crap as i have seen engines let go with Enclosed oil trays, and the track still gets covered in oil. Just more and more cost to the racers.

Thanks kiffsta, yes i tried to edit my post but could not find the edit function, regarding that the bike has standard fairings, it has'nt they are a fiberglass race fairing, so i may have to look at replacing the whole bottom half, but the guy who made them is not making fairings anymore, so thats why i thought there may be an attachment i can fit to them. Where did you get those rear sets from? you may want to wire that chain clip up ;)

Rear sets are from tyga performance , I saw one guy racing a Gsx250f with a bbq tray strapped under his fairings as a oil catch can

:lolsign::cool: Problem solved. I made something similar when i raced at the International classic at Eastern Creek some years ago on an FZR400 got away with it, but it would have never held a litre of oil. Thanks for the heads up on the rear sets will go and order a set. Cheers.
