    hooked up the switch on tuesday and hasnt gone past half way on the temp gauge yet. that has to be the best $2 spent for me.. i reckon it saved me a couple of hundred bucks.

    hello all,
    (firstly 1989 steel frame with exup)(6'4" 96kg)
    bought it 2 days ago, running hot during stop start (yep quite hard acceleration),
    when i bought it the guy told me was running hot due to service guy putting octain boster in it to resolve an ideling issue an dit would pass in 2 to 3 tank fulls

    WHAT A LOAD OF CR@&

    foud out the fan was not working, after some fault finding found the thermo switch on the thermostat was never swiching to pass current to enable the fan. I have by-passed the swithch completly (fan runs continuously). is this ok.

    now i am thinking i should get the bike properly serviced to make sure nothing else is dodgy i am in cranbourne area

    bike runs quite well had it to 140 in 6th gear
    100km = 6th = 9500rpm

    well just took my bike to mojo in ferntree gully (great dude). he said bike in great condition! apart for the usual fzr rattles!

    but when riding home the bike did heat up, almost to the red, all the way home, thermo fan is constantly running. i belive it is due to the 40 degree day?

    by the way i would really recomend this guy "mojo" pm me for his details

    regards timothy
