    Hi peoples,

I want to get my bike serviced/tuned by someone that knows the FZR in Melbourne, preferably eastern suburbs. Can anyone make any recommendations?

    I have a 91 FZR.

    Thanks in Advance

I won't say that they know the fzr too well, but I will say that they are very honest and reliable: http://www.centralmotorcycles.com.au/. They helped me when I had my fzr, and they won't take you for a ride. They have worked on quite a number of grey imports (including fzr's) so they should be able to help. And just to proove once again their honesty - I bought my new bike from them, and 2 weeks later (yesterday) they called me and told me that they came upon a rear seat cowl that will fit my new bike. I can pick it up at no cost - which is extremely nice and rare - I expected to need to pay for something like that...

Another person who knows fzr's extremely well is a guy named Bruce at a place called Yamwreck (I bought my fzr from him). Runs a backyard workshop and deals primarly in Yamaha's and classic bikes. I was there about 2-3 weeks ago and he had 2 fzr250's he was repairing to resell. He would know more about the fzr than virtually anyone I have met, but he primarily runs a wreck/repair place so I don't know if he would be willing to tune. He is very cost effective though (parts virtually at cost). Even if you don't go through him for tuning, he is good to keep in mind if you ever need replacement parts. I have pm'd his phone number to you.

Oh - central motorcycles is in huntingdale (by huntingdale station), and Bruce is in the North end of Mount Waverley area.
