Hi guys im new to this forum and to road bikes but I have bought a 1991 suzuki across that was in need of a respray and some serious tlc and now she runs great and everything is working again and I have had a go at respraying her although it could have turned out better.
Anyway now comes the time for me to reinstall all the fairings and I was wondering if there are any tips on which order to do them, aswell as how to put the front wheel gaurd on (does the wheel need to come off)
Also does anyone have photos of how the headlight mounts (are there any spacers?)
I know these are odd questions but I purchased the bike in peices
    Thanks in advance

i have not needed to take the front wheel off my bikes to reinstal a mudguiard but all bikes are different.if you do not have the correct screws take one to a bolt warehouse and buy stainless allen head that have a curved head in stainless steel grade 316.will be cheaper than genuine and look better.kiffsta knows his bikes and should be a good help. where are you located as some forum members may be near by to help.

I would approach it like this

    1. fit fuel tap lid
    2. fit rear L and R panels
    3. Fit Boot assembly
    4. get the front L and front R fairing and install the headlight and windscreen as one complete unit (do it before it being fitted to the bike otherwise you wont be able to do up the windscreen bolts without copious amounts of profanity).
    5. fit front fairings to bike, use mirrors to line up before doing up bolts
    6. fit belly pan fairing
    7. fit front fender
    8. Hi five yourself for a job well done

When I fitted the front mud guard I had next to no room to do the nuts up, I would recomend taking the front wheel off. Every other pannel I do exactly as chris does

I searched on ebay for gsxr mirrors and the ones I got ( $30 delivered) are adjustable width. However I did need to use my original screws that mount from the bottom of the fairing as the holes are very deep / screws are very shallow

My mirrors also come with indicators. But haven't hooked them up yet.
