    Hello,
Over the next 6 months ill be looking for a bike for wen i can get my L's.
Is it common to have problems starting your fzr's, and other fueling problems? If fzr's are tuned right are they usually problem free?
Also i saw that sum1 on this forum has tank cam footage, it would be good if u made a longer one on the gor or similar, to see how the fzr really performs.
    Thanx

Never had a problem starting mine. It needed full choke when the engine was cold, but that is not unusual.

Usually the main problem comes from the exup valve being poorly tuned. Easy fix... Fueling problems typically not. Yes they need to be tuned correctly, and carbies do sometimes pose an issue but that is not unusual for any sports 250 4 stroke. CBR's and zx2r's etc. all suffer the same problem (perhaps not as much because most of those are newer).

Yup. And will last a long time if looked after (75 000 k's+).

No tank cam footage from me but some anecdotes:
    - highest indicated speed I ever saw was between 165 and 170. The bike still had more in it (about 4000 revs left) but I didn't. It likely could have hit close to 190-200.
    - will out accelerate virtually any car, high performance sports (wrx included in this) excepted
    - very 'flickable' through corners
    - very small head-on profile (aids lanesplitting - he who is smallest is fastest in peak-hour traffic!! cc's don't help much when you can't fit)

    agree with boz,

i've only owned mine for 3000kms,

never had any dramas, starts first go, (although sometimes stalls a few tims when really cold, choke normally keeps it going)

i've tuned the exup a few times now, have no probs with it.

My bike fuels up sometimes, but only when riding very slow (sub 5000rpm) and only for long periods (ie traffic jams (when lanesplitting is impracticable) for longer then a few mins.)

i've seen my speedo at 170kph, and the tacho was just under 15000rpm, was still pulling (and it gets there reasonably quick too!)

will outcorner most sports 250's. (and i have even heard CBR riders say that!)

    BUT..... it all depends on the rider... <!-- s:) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" title="Smile" /><!-- s:) -->
