S what riding books have you guys read, what would you recommend? For me to buy?

I am a big fan of reading up on bikes, how to ride better, and tips to survive in everyday traffic.

Not wanting to pimp NetRider (after the other thread with the not so friendly comments involving Across riders); but head over there and do a search for 'bible.'

Theres a ~250 page PDF that is and absolute golden read. Plenty of boring and useless information in there, but if you take the time to read most of it then your guarenteed to take something away from it.

that bible is actually from http://www.msgroup.org/DISCUSS.asp. One of the netrider guys went through all the articles on that site and cut and paste and formatted them in MS Word.

But I agree - a great read.

Twist of the Wrist I & II, as well as Sportbike Riding Techniques and "Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance". The last one isn't about riding really.

I read those books, except zen and the art of motorcyucle riding.. that kinda put me to sleep for some reason.. its more of a story then techniques aye?

I m reading atm this book Ride Hard, Ride smart. looking pretty good.. gives lots of good points in suriving in traffic, which most of our riding lays unless ur in the country.

hey guys.
How much did you pay for your copies of the twist of the wrist series and where did you buy em.
After doing a quick search on yahoo i've found most Australian bookshops selling em for $40-$50 each for just a paperback?
seen it for under $10US on amazon.com but i dont have access to a credit card.

Kev,

If I can remember, I'll check at the bookstore when I go to work later. I'll let you know how much the Twist books are. One store was supposed to order me a set, but I never heard back. But I'll check into it for you.

well... US $10 is about $15 AUD, then you have import duties and shipping... which might account for about $20AUD... so that gives you $35... and the rest is profit margin i guess.... and because there are still some people that are willing to pay that much...
