    Hows this.
Was driving home yesterday after work when the truck I was following (in my car) lost a large leather bound cushion that was part of the lounge setting it was carrying in it's tray. Had to simply take the hit and drive over it.
Made me reflect on the ol' emergency swerve technique and what I would have done if I'd been on the bike. That and the importance of a healthy following distance....

Feel free to share any other objects people have had to dodge over the years...

Tyre on the trailer of a semi exploded on Gunnedah highway when I was coming opposite direction on my Suzuki TS250 trail bike. Managed to dodge most of the bits by taking to the grass but went over one bit with the wheels. Had to stop and take a few deep breaths before continuing.
Same road, late at night after working overtime, car came across to my side of road. Split second decision to go to his side of road to pass. Stopped and looked back to see car sliding in dirt back onto road and continue off into the night. Driver was probably asleep and still hasn't seen me or the Honda 750/4.
