Long story short, my shocks clagged out big time (essentially zero rebound damping). Most places wont service the stocker (it can be done despite being classed as "non serviceable") on grounds of it being uneconomical. Aftermarket ones are way too much $$$.

Anyone done a shock conversion? The gs500 guys seem to use a katana 600 shock which seem rare as hens teeth here. The sv650 shock looks like a good one but even drilling the clevis would still jack up the ride height quite a bit. Not even sure if the geometry is similar between the 500 and across anyway!

    Ideas? Cheers guys :)

What is the shock length from centre to centre? Does it have bush at the top and fork at the bottom?

And what are the bolt diameters?
