Trying to find a place to buy the dreaded plastic fanstatics for my across, anyone know where I can pick up some suzuki across throttle slide holders?

PS: Probably a silly question but do I need to re-balance the carbies after replacing them and possibly adjusting the needles?

My local Suzuki dealer had them for $7ea when I was last in there so I thought I may as well replace them whether they needed it or not.

I don't know about anyone else, but they were not pleasant to remove. I was worried about damaging the black holder the whole time. Two of the old ones were a mangled mess by the time I finally got them out. Naturally, they didn't actually need replacement.  ::)

But they did seem almost glued in. Is that normal?

I might order a full set reletivly soon... though my engine issues turned out to be fouled plugs and a clogged jet... seems a combination of me being too gentle on the engine (got told off for that :p ) and (more of the issue) the previous owner not starting it for a year.
Gotta admit, I do like having mechanic's permission to holder closer to 10k rather than 8 :p

Haha, yes that's me now. Except my 8k is more like 6k. It feels crazy to be cruising casually along at 10,000 RPM when my v8 rarely touches half that at full-throttle driving!

I'm used to up shifting very quickly and letting the engine's torque do it's thing. That's a habit a 250cc engine finds a bit painful.  :D

AFTERTHOUGHT: That said, I've noticed today since putting on the quiet exhaust that my tacho needle's seen the 13-14k mark for the first time. Just at a guess I think that it'll be seeing more of it, too!

nearly everyone who has owned an Across will say you have to rev the arse off them to get them mobile, 13-14k isnt unreasonable, after all they are a hi revving in-line 4.
