Ok...so after pulling the last few starnds of hair out...i beleive that after spending a fortune on carb rebuild kits....new cdi...new pick up coil...fuel tap..hose and everything else that could possibly be replaced....ive worked out that when my bike gets hot ...say 5 mins idling dies and wont restart....ita the bloody resistor spark caps that fail....the ends of the resistor and the spring receptical are dirty and looks like when they warm up must be arcing or something.......fortunately there is a local supplier of the full range of NGK products....surely theres nothing left that can be wrong....when it runs it runs perfect though...so thats a bonus....but infinity Ohms across the plug....not good ;-)

Have all of them failed ?
Does it use 10 Ω cap's, if so the soft silicon one seem to seal out moisture a lot better than the Bakelite one's

Thanks for that....yeh im replacing the leads as well...hopefully my local supplier carries the full range of ngk..as they say they do on the website...NGK actually make an inline resistor carrier as well so you can use non resistor caps in any case...thanks for the links....

That one you linked. The cap, https://www.gsparkplug.com/1x-ngk-resistor-spark-plug-cap-sd05fm-red-8673.html

Is that a compatible replacement for a zxr250a spark plug cap?

My leads are in good condition, I'm replacing the plugs but the caps are a bit shot. I haven't found any replacement other than spending $150 USD on megazip.

Consider replacing them with ninja 300 coil on plug units, the wiring is simple you just need to buy the right connectors and make up a harness. I did it wit my ZXR.
