Umm speaking of checking the battery mine is reading 18-19 volts from the DCV 20 setting of my volt meter. Being that the its supposed to be 13-13.2v for mc22 I presume I need to get rid of this lithium battery with haste, yes?
I'm measuring from the battery terminals, but I take it that your saying that the rest of the bike will only see what the reg/rec lets it see?
Damus, your charging voltage should not exceed 15 volts when measured at the battery. If it's above 15 volts then your R/R is faulty and you risk frying the battery.
What Linkin said. You either have a faulty Reg/Rec or a faulty multimeter. Your expensive battery will be toast if you do not solve the problem.
I will test the reg/rec when I get home, I have 3 multimeters so I will no doubt be able to isolate the problem. If it is the reg/rec I wonder how close the ones from xcite are to original. I very much want it to be pretty much the exact spec of Honda OEM.
