So, having just got my new Across, yesterday I discovered it had a park setting which turns the headlight and tail light on so you're visible on the side of the road at night... say you need to pull on some wet weather gear or somesuch... Only I didn't notice at the time that instead of locking the front wheel, that's what I'd done. I discovered it getting ready to go out to see the girlfriend. After 4 hours or so. Yup, that was hilarious. Wound up just taking the CB250 I haven't quite sold yet (anyone want it?), and was about 20 minutes late. Thankfully the girlie was too busy laughing at my tale to be angry at my tardiness but there you go... So folks, what stupid things have you done while still keeping the motorcycle upright?
Gee, how much do I share... :-[ for me, I have run out of fuel 3 times, I keep saying my next bike will have a fuel gauge.. but none of my last 3 havnt.
Well..... when i first got my CBR i was wondering why it wasnt starting. CHecked the fuel, battery and the other usual suspects. Tryed clutch starting it to no avail. After an hour or so of trying different things a mate suggested the kill switch. And yes, that was the problem. Now the kill switch is always set to run so i dont look like a fool again. Ps Kiffsta, we have all run out of fuel.
