Hey Guys, It appears that there is a small oil leak from my sump plug. New to bikes so just wondering if there was a washer there that may need replacing or some other way to stop the leak. Thanks in Advance.

    Jake

The sump plug has a copper crush washer that really should be replaced at each oil change. Most don't bother, but sometimes it leaks. Sometimes people rip the threads out of the crankcase trying to tighten an overused plug gasket.

Go to the local Yamaha stealership and order a 214-11198-01-00 Gasket. Should run you about $2.

Well replaced the crush washer, no real dramas there however it is now leaking more than it was. There is a repair on the side of the hole so im gonna have a closer look tonight and see if i can do anything else. Thanks again Dontz for the quick reply.
