Hey im pretty new to the biking world (by about a month now) and i have gotten myself a badass Suzuki Across.

I was just wondering if many people have mod'ed em and what sort mods these are? (apart from the obvious exhaust)

and how many people think there worth it?

Mine came with after market mirrors, heated grips, and a clock which i find all pretty useful.

She is VERY pretty... wish mine was in such good nick...

I lowsided the other day, hit the front fairing pretty hard and I'm in the market for a new windsheild... any tips on anything that fits the mountings?
As a sub-note, and a little off topic I agree but am also looking for a new front fairing set... anyone in vic got some?

    Hey Sam

On my old Across I fitted the carby kit from ebay, it seemed slightly boggy down low, but had more mid range power. In the end I took them out and used standard jets as it was everyday commuter.  Other simple mods that have look sweet are replacing fairing bolts with chrome or tinted  bolts, polishing brightwork such as footpeg mounts and also polishing wheels give the bike some bling !!

Can you post a pic of your clock, Im interested to see where its mounted, here is a how to from suzukiacross.org , he  did a great job  http://suzukiacross.org/2007/05/30/adding-a-new-instrument/

    Cheers

    Chris

dont even bother to modify the exhaust, waste of time and money on a 250.buy a compact airhorn instead, best $50 you can spend on the across.put on some mirrors with led indicators in them, make yourself visible
