    Hi Guys,

long story short, my husband crashed my bike. The clutch lever, the faring, the indicator... i can either fix or replace. not happy, but can do it :p

however, because he's so special, he also managed to grind through the stator? magneto? cover, the exposed part of the engine on the left hand side of the bike that's in front of your foot. The pretty little piece that says "suzuki" :)

now i can find them for pretty much every bike ever made - OEM and aftermarket - but not for the GSX250F Across.

if anyone has one, knows the parts number? (i've tried to DL the manuals it says i'm not authorised) or can reccomend a site to go to to find one that would be super helpful. Even an ebay seller name for a chinese aftermarket one.

pretty pretty please, tell me i don't have to buy a whole 'nother bike just for the one part, surely? (she's not that old really, she's only 20!)

aha - found a part number. sort of.

    11351-05C00

it's the "alternator cover / magneto cover" etc...

turns out there's a whole bunch of them, with very very similar numbers.

anyone got any advice on ordering one of these babies? It's $153 odd - which is a great price for OEM if it fits, and an expensive way to find out it doesn't.

I'm looking at ordering from http://www.mickhone.com.au/find/part/S.1701
might give them a call there tomorrow.

thanks guys. normally i'd love to deal with someone local - but around here there's just no one (which is not a problem if you're ordering an oil filter or chain lube but a bit more complex when you need specifics like this!)

i'll give them a buzz once open.

I know a dude called ray that will do you OEM parts for suzuki's if you email ray@suziparts.com.au he will give you a quote but I warn you his parts are not cheap!
I own an across and I am half tempted to part it out haha =p You should try ridding a cbr250rr, your opinion of your baby across might change just a tad =p That being said that storage compartment is great!!! But the constant filling up of petrol can get annoying!

I ended up not being able to get through to the guys at Hone - and ordered the part ( 11351-05C00 for anyone reading this post in the future) from NorthWest Motorcycles, at Ulverstone here in Tassie (over the other side of the island from me, they'll be shipping it)

In my internet travels i found it listed as an alternator cover, stator cover, magneto cover, crankcase cover...

They're not a cheap part, but it's no worse than I expected for an OEM part for a 20 year old Suzi! They've got the VIN as well as the year etc of the bike so they can make sure it's def the correct one.

Now to assemble the box of bits for all the other stuff that got broken. Lucky me I've kept spares over the years :)

Welcome to the Forum, pleased to hear you got sorted with your part. By the sound of it your reserves (parts) are up to speed and hope you get back on the road soon. A picture of your bike would be great.
