    Hey,

    Here's why I'm here:

    http://2fiftycc.com/index.php?threads/im-not-sure-why-i-did-it-but-i-love-it.8222/#post-82869

I started to work with my GSX-R. I thought it will be easy fix and it would be if bike wouldn't be "maintained" by some country side, mechanic-magician.

Bike doesn't want to start. For the beggining I changed spark plugs but it didn't help. I found that cam chain tensioner was "modified" by someone not very wise, so I decided to check the timing. When I did that I found more uncool stuff.

Cam chain was so tight that it only moved for about 1mm up or down. Also it looks like it's not stretched equally. I have to change it for new one for sure.
I have not cool situation with pulse generator. Someone again said: "I can fix it". He failed to unscrew the plate and he even left broken torx inside... Unfortunetly he managed to cut the wires and change the sensor.

Also I can see that two screws which bolt on camshaft doesn't look stock.

Looking at the situation there's no other solution then remove the engine and check everything step by step.

I have problem with parts cause in parts shops they don't have it in catalogues. It would be great If someone could help my with some stuff.

If I can ask for help with this:

    - Cam chain tensioner. Is it the same in other Suzuki model, Bandit 400 or any other? Then I can search it
    - Cam chain. Any part number from DID or info about fittment from other models?
    - Pulse generator. Is this one which is mounted in my bike is correct one?

Thank you and sorry for my english, prodably I made some mistakes ;)

You have to love the utter brilliance of the mechanical "genius" who does that sort of thing.

When hunting for parts it helps to have the parts book and/or the workshop service manual.

The only thing we have in the resources section is for the GJ72A, but it may be sufficient for you to find the part numbers you need

    http://2fiftycc.com/index.php?resources/suzuki-gsxr250-workshop-manual-japanese.54/

Once you've located the part numbers you need, you can get a quote for brand new parts from: www.jp-parts.com

I bet that when I'll cure my GSX-R from those creative modifications It will be so greatfull it will never brake down again haha

I found parts catalogue earlier, that's how I managed to find oil filter here in PL. I asked Suzuki Poland to search service manual for GJ73A, maybe they'll help.
I would prefer to find parts here, cause I believe they would be quite cheaper for me. I work as a journalist and this bike will go as a project to the mag :)
If not I'll surely use jp-parts, thanks!
