Had some time off over christmas and new year... decided to take an extended break before starting a new job.. So finally got around to doing the respray I wanted to do on my Suzuki GSX1400 This is what it was like when I first bought it.
Without boring everyone with the work in progress photos.. a complete strip down was needed of the parts. To the point where I actually bought almost a complete second set of bodywork that was in better condition. The photo above hides a lot of the damage in some cases. so here is the finished product..
All parts were stripped down completely and then resprayed from scratch by me. Took me about 2 weeks solid. Which included painting some of the engine covers as well and repairing some of the small gouges in the engine covers from the previous owner and then painting them. Along with a "wrinkle finish" red on on the cam cover.
Rather than repeat myself.. if anyone is interested. the full story of what I've done can be found here https://gsx1400owners.org/forum/index.php?topic=4148.0
The bikini fairing down low reminds me of my VF750F - I had an '82 - loved the bike, damned cam lobe hardening Very fine work you've done, including the wrinkle finish - reading your thread now
Thanks @ruckusman I remember those VF750's I built one when it was delivered to my brother's motorcycle shop. Had to install all the bodywork, wheels, etc etc out of the crate from Japan. Beautiful bike.
