I did not even know these were made here. I thought they were Chinese. Some of the styling on the various models is quite good. I think the brand and model names are quite tacky but you get that. https://www.gpxthailand.com/GPX-Legend-250Twin This cafe version I think is tasteful. https://www.gpxthailand.com/GPX-Legend-200-new They even have mudguards.
They actually dont look too bad at all... I quite like front mudguard with the stays... very old school look.
I reckon i saw a Legend 200 in Kata, Phuket a month ago, didn't look too bad They released the Legend 250cc in August too by the look's of it There's also the Gentleman's Racer, Spoked wheel's, Pirelli tyre's, Kevlar seat, YSS rear shock, twin disc front https://www.gpxthailand.com/GPX-Legend-Gentleman_Racer
I went into one of their dealerships in Chang Mi 18 months ago. Amazing array of bikes plus custom specials , one even had a dustbin fairing on it.
The Legend Gentleman Racer ... Mr Green , they made one especially for you And the guy on the promo shot standing next to it needs to lay off the crack
Neither legend, nor gentleman racer would be a more apt description of me. There is another brand sold here called 'Stallions' but it seems that they might be Chinese or at least the engines are from China. I don't know if the Legend's engine is made here or not. I thought the same thing. I have been looking for a new commuter and I saw 'new 250 GPX' and thought it was a Kawasaki.
Commuters: Well I narrowed it down to a choice between a retro Kawasaki 175 and this Yamaha 155, which is a new model. It is a bit of a bitzer. Looks like the R15 frame and engine, fitted with dual purpose tyres (same size as my MC22), rearsets etc. The Kawasaki is a tiny version of the W800 and yes, that is a carburettor. The tyres on this thing look like they come off a step-through. They have an overpriced 250 version with a brown (vomit) seat so that is not an option.
