I just have a way of finding fizzers... and I can't help myself! Had almost cleared the shed and then another motor and about 90% of a bike fell into my lap for basically nothing so why the hell not right?

First things first, pulled the motor down - everything looks good. Will put new rings, lap the valves, do stem seals and a new head gasket and I think it will be fine. I don't have any fairings apart from bits and pieces left so I'm going to find a way to make do with what I have. Still got my 3LN6/7 carbies as nobody has wanted them or my keyster kits so I know where they're going now!

What I don't have is an exhaust header (with or without EXUP, not fussed on condition as long as it's in one piece). Anyone got one lying around?

Also, I need a set of diaphragms. Can't be bothered investing in new ones, anyone got any used ones lying around that aren't torn that they will sell me cheap? I know there's a suzuki part that will fit from other threads but at $30/diaphragm well I'd do it as a last resort I guess.

Hmm... thanks mate, interesting. I'm not sure. I don't think I have any diaphragms left to measure against. I'll have to go digging in the shed again to see.

I believe @kiffsta might have a set of complete carbies. Or @GreyImport might have carbies that are otherwise too tired.

Well, finally have some movement on this. Decided to run it as a Club250 project, invite people round to come build a bike etc. Had a few people available, considering it was basically a rolling front frame on wheels we made some pretty good progress over a couple of hours. Even got replacement rings in and the bore back on the engine, now if only I could find the bloody head gasket...

Was going to ask if there's been any progress on this one.

It's been sitting, I've been a bit distracted since I totalled the 400 and got the replacement XV1100... plus I still gotta put the engine back together on the Vitara. It never ends.

Oh, I do need diaphragms though. Happy with old ones as I'm not looking to spend much. I know the suzuki ones fit from GI's thread but I'm hoping not to spend another hundy if I can avoid.

Let me know if you have some spare.

All good mate, appreciate the thought. I have to see how many I can dig out. conveniently I still have most of the keyster kits so tubes, needles and jets are all set.

Well I need a LH footpeg assembly, 4 used diaphragms and an exup motor with an oval/rectangle plug. Plenty of parts to trade if someone wants to. Anyone interested?

I have things like stators, good chromed forks etc.

@kiffsta might have some parts, but the EXUP might be tricky, seems most people removed the unit.

Yeh Chris will check on footpeg assembly. I wonder if i can rewire the exup to suit the CDI? Hmm. Suppose it doesn't matter if I delete it for the purposes of this bike.

Yeah Brat style is all about keeping costs down...black paint instead of chrome/polishing..remove rather than replace....within reason :D

Yeh, fizzers run like crap down low without the exup. I also am without an air box so combined I wonder what we will end up with... suppose we can only try.

You will just have to do what the rest of us non exup do ..play with the exhaust and cam timing :)

I have a spare airbox, it's the one that came with my bike, the one where i urethaned the carby boot's to the box to get them to seal (i don't have an air filter for it)
Then i bought another airbox and some brand new boot's and fitted that.
Not sure if i have another left footpeg spare, will have a look in the next couple of day's for it.

What about the zeal setup? It doesn't have a exup, does it?
