Back to 250cc.
SRX250 Melbourne $1,500
Found this on facebook marketplace, located in Thornleigh NSW.
Wow... someone who is reasonable in what they are asking... around 505 of the asking price is taken up by the Bellypan... they are rare as Unicorn Poo.
I notice this one has an oil cooler on it, must be a later model hey? of course, also the belly pan
If it has the Oil cooler and the Bellypan (both optional extras) it is worth the $500 just for those 2 items... the rest of the bike is free.
Might be worth buying it @Oigy
I would consider it but I would get shot by my other half if I even mentioned it...lol
I did think about it but realistically, I would rather ride bikes/scooters than work on them, the one I have occupies quite a bit of my time and I will be happy to get it sorted, but it was tempting
@Andych @Oigy yeah, was tempted too but I'm supposed to be finishing off my spada so we can park our car in our garage again.
Also noticed something weird... it looks like the rear wheel has six spokes and rear disc? I thought they only had 3 and drum?
Think I sussed it out... The rear is a Suzuki GF250 one
Well , that's strange to have that style of rear wheel fitted.Your back wheel has a similar style like the Yamaha LC 350 , less the rear disc though.Have enclosed the front cover of a original Yamaha pre-release brochure on the SRX 250 back in day's showing what the rim's where supplied with.
Yeah, mine only has 3 spokes on the back wheel and a drum brake. Did a quick search on Google photos and none of the SRX's that came up had that pattern wheel, so a custom fit eh?
That looks to be an SRX400 or 600 rear wheel
It would be a Custom fit if that was the case as the axle is 17mm on those so you need to drill out the swing arm etc.. or substitute bearings, spacers etc for the SRX ones.
Just goes to show, anything is possible, IF you have the time, skill and money good on em I say
On Just Bikes now
Geez that didn't last long!
I forgot who is into the CB
They didn't have very clear details, but $310 a set is good, $240 a set (I think they are bias ply) is cheap. AMX superstore
Or there's a VTR 250 for under $900, WITH A ROADWORTHY!
Poor-man's FCR carbies?..
That carb looks good. Better link to 28mm version https://tinyurl.com/y4292l7o
I think @my67xr has a better unit he and @maelstrom are experimenting with for our 250/4 bikes. I know there's plenty of those carbs on the market, but until someone gets the setup working, it's just a dream and there are plenty of challenges/obstacles that my67xr & maelstrom have been working through.
