    hey all
im a noob to bikes and i found three rubber tubes hanging down the insides of the bike this arvo near the rear shock. one seems to come from the right side under the pillon seat, one comes from the left hand side under the seat and a larger tube seems to come from under the fuel tank... they just hang down to the bottom of the bike near the exhaust... are they meant to be plugged in somewhere? is this normal?

    thanks for your help

    nuffin to worry bout...
one is for the battery fumes..
    fuel tank overfil..
n the other i think is the crank case vent

they r suppose to b like that to get rid of fumes...excess fuel(wen u overfill the tank) etc...

The fuel one is so if you overfill it, it will dump fuel straight onto your back tyre <!-- s:) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" title="Smile" /><!-- s:) -->

I swear ive overfilled it before and it didn't seem to drain...I had the petrol right up the top..and I just managed to fit the tank cap on without much spillage....So when does the fuel drain???

maybe your pipe is blocked? we cleaned mine out one of the many times we pulled the bike apart and cleared it.
Last weekend i overfilled it and about an inch from the top it came out the pipe..

well...the only time that u would b fillin the tank would b wen ur stationary,...so it would drain onto the ground...not on the rear tyre!

the fuel overflow pipe is not actually the three on the bottom...its just visible on the crankcase cover where u fill the oil.
the coolant overflow pipe is the third pipe on the bottom....

the one from the r/h side under pillion seat is for the cooling system overflow bottle. will generally leak if you over fill your bottle or your radiator cap is f%&$d as they are a two way valve system same as a car.
