I just watched this whole youtube tutorial on fully cleaning a motorcycle properly and it looked like it took the dude a whole day!!!

I can imagine the expense of all the different items and cleaners either.
I reckon you'd want a new set of fairings and nuts and bolts to go with the job. But the next day will be the day you crash the bike for whatever reason hahaha.

With it hardly changing the sale value I just don't know if its justified.

I pay 40 baht ($1.55 AUD) to get my scooter cleaned and I reckon that improves its sale value.

Yeah but I hear over in Thai Land that costs about that to get a bucket of alcohol. I don't think I could even begin to comprehend all the awesome cheapness over there.
I swear even 1 can of chain lube costs 20$ here.
Here's the thing, the expected price of mc22's these days seem to be around the 3k mark give or take. Even with a complete rebuild and detailing people wont pay much more than that. They would rather a dirty piece of crap that is fast.
I'm now about *scratches head* 5 months off my full license. I just can't tell if I am going to sell it or not. If I was to keep it then I would go all out. But if i sell it, well... She's in pretty good nick as is.

Not hard to clean any bike, once cleaned it's just a wipe over thereafter.
Call me old fashion but a clean bike always seems to go better :lolsign:

Bike cleaning is good but when you have more than a few bikes it's a massive pain. Dirt bikes are good because there isn't paintwork to worry about damaging. But road bikes can be annoying. I mostly just keep the main areas clean and do a strip down when I think the bike needs it (sometimes when I service it). With all that said, it's easy to keep a bike clean if you washit regularly. I used to quick wash my MC22 in 10 minutes every week. Then that turned into every 2 weeks, then once a month. But if you were to wash your bike like this guy regularly, you'd be spending at least half a day doing it. And WD-40 costs a fortune when you use it like that. CT-18 all the way!
