    Cleaning out the shed.
I have 2x TSR systems for cbr250rr. The assembled one is actually my sisters and she is looking for about $700. The second has a shorty can and has two repairable dents in the lower 2 header pipes. So I will let that go for $450.

That 4-2-1 is very tempting! 700 is big dollars, how does it compare to stock?

I haven't dynod it but it responds well to 118 size jets and air filter mod. It sounds and goes better than my full Ti system surprisingly. The assembled one is a bit dirty (only just took it off) so it could do with a clean and polish.

The other one is a lot cheaper though. Any exhaust shop can easily fix the dents. The shorty can could probably be reassembled if you are after something neater.

These exhausts sound fantastic though. ebay cans are a waste of time imho.

HAHAHA, I'm actually really digging stock grey. I wouldnt get it if it meant i had to change my jetting.
I was only considering it because my current headers are a little on the rusty side.

If you keep the stock air filter, you can get away with running stock jets... But imo its a waste of free power. There is more performance to be had for a $1 part... But its up to you.

For learning and fun I have tried many combos of jets, slow jets and air filters. Yes there is slightly more power to be had but there is a trade off and the bike will tend to choke at certain points in the revs once you start pushing it past stock I found.

I am pretty much off the opinion that the best you can get out of the bike is: stock with a straight through exhaust-can and a good sync of the carbs.

Not mentioning names but another half decent setup is white foam from Clark Rubber instead of the paper filter and 12, 10, 10, 12 main jets. Only problem is its slightly rich on the high revs and lacks pull on the low revs.
I tried that and a variation on that with bigger pilot jets but then the day to day idle became mega inconsistent without the idle mixture being set to 2k revs.

What I have read previously about the 4-2-1 full exhaust was there seemed to be more mid punch at a cost of the top end.

Dare i say it but I don't think you can get a better END result that what honda has already provided stock. Can you get more hp sure 1 or 2. But there is a big price to pay elsewhere.

I don't know anything about your bike, but I suspect your foam filter was a bit too thick, jets were too big & needle was set too low causing it to run like crap. Its a shame as when these bikes are set up right, they run really well. I have so far built 4 with all sorts of weird and wonderful combinations. I think maybe you just got unlucky with a motor that didn't have any compression.

Anywho, lets leave these stainless pipes to sell. Thanks for your input though.

    Cheers,

    Brendan.

I don't believe it... my memory is fading me... I remember it was worse than this... and is only one dent. In fact I could have repaired this myself when I still was renting a bottle of argon. Damn I could have sold it for more lol. Looks like you guys might get a bargain.
