    Evening guys

This is an issue i have only noticed since i cleaned my carbs out but when the bike sits for a day or 2 when i got to start it, it turns over a few times before i hear a loud and scary snap sound, i push start and the bike wont turn over, i wait, try again, nothing, likes it seized, try again, same thing, wait for exup to initialise once again, try again and vroom off she goes

this seem to be happening far to offen, and like i said, only since i cleaned my carbies out

any suggestions? i was thinking some sort of compression lock or something, but im not too sure, im just a back yard mechanic

Sounds possibly like a leaking head gasket or a flooding carb. Cylinder fills with water or petrol and when piston goes up it hits solid fluid. Leave the bike for a couple of days THEN take the plugs out before starting, crank over to confirm this.

thanks dave, will give that a try, im leaning more towards the floding carb as its only been since i pulled them apart to clean them out, i was shocked to see how much mud like substance was in the bulbs, its a wonder my bike was even running.

hmmmm, this happened to my F2 and GPZ400 before... turned out it WAS flooding. Stuck float and wrong float setting.
