My son has the VholdR ContourHD video camera. Rather than post the video (which
is excellent quality at 1280 x 760, 30 frames per sec - high definition) and put on you
tube, I took a screen shot at the best resolution I could (1012 x 568) due to my
screen not being big enough. I think that the picture gives a better idea of the
    true video quality.

Traveling at about 80-90kph, only mod is to put some black tape over the mic hole to stop the wind noise

Take the whole 23 minute ride that Rally Tasmania (tarmac Rally) uses for one of
its main stages, in 5 short clips. I get car sick watching this.

This was taken at standard resolution 848 x 480 and we discovered that it crops
the image to a smaller size but the quality is still the same and also the original lo
res clip is at 60 frames a second. Magic to watch in its native .MOV format.

This was taken on yesterdays Ulysses club ride, I am in front of my son, Mike
(with the camera). and for the record we don't normally travel above the
posted speed limits except just if we are not watching the speedo

Quality seems poor compared to when originally loaded. I think they might have been recompiled at some time.

I have added a couple more clips of the ride - this time on youtube.

The three clips are in order as we head south from Burnie on the Murcheson Hwy. Clips start at Henrietta, where the road narrows. There are a few houses and then about nearly 40km of road where no one lives.

The second clip starts at the entry to Hellyer Gorge 480m above sea level which winds down hill to the Hellyer river at 250m ASL and back up to the southern side almost at Parrawee 540m ASL
4.4km in a straight line, 11km by road. This clip is the road used as a competitive stage of Rally Tasmania, and Targa Tasmania, which are both tarmac events.

The 3rd clip is from Parrawee on to the Wandle river area which is a bit more open.

If you think the quality is good you should see the original file. Perfect.

I have uploaded a better quality version of one of those clips. 166mb of upload to photobucket to be precise. You should turn up the volume (I have a music fade in after 20 seconds), sit close and view it in full screen mode (click the box thing in the lower right corner).

Like I said before, this was taken of my son's bike (Suzuki SV1000 K5 ) and I was right behind him.

See if you see the cow on the side of the road at approx 1min 35 sec

Have a look at this re-edit of the epic ride to Savage river town on the Savage River road. I have managed to put an 18 minute clip into one file. This is one ride that you must do if you come to Tasmania. Don't pick on my riding style as I am on the bike in front of the camera.
