Hi Guys,

Just an update on my bike, on Saturday I managed to get a second hand top fairing in the right colours as my bike (RED/WHITE 3ln-3) Aslo I have managed to get new indicator aswell as the right mirror.
I got a second hand front tyre as it looked like it had only done very few kms. The tyre is Dunlop K45F or H45F?? I think lol Does anyone know if this tyre is any good??

Also my front shocks are leaking oil from the seal and seem to bottom out very easily especially when using the front brake. Would anyone know where to get the front forks seals near Queensland or even a place that would post them too me. And the cost of a pair of them.

I am still considering whether I should get a side front fairing on mine, or whether to just take both side of to get a safety certificate so I can register it. Any thoughts would be good

Also in QLD I have been told that there is a thing called single seat rego (I moved 3months ago from Vic) Would any of you Qld guys know what is required to register a FZR under this rule as Queensland transport told me around $550 for a twin seater for 12 months or $270 for 6 months. Compared to only $250 for a full year on single seat rego. This would be great as my licence doesnt allow me to carry passengers anyway!!

My bike has got 45,000kms on the clock what should I be servicing first off, As I am a newbie to the whole bike scene, It has new brake pads all round and the sprockets are good.

Thanks Heaps Guys,
Dominic

Can t help u much with the technical areas, though the fzr naked dosent look bad at all...i rode my bike liek that for 2 months.. however the front fairings connects to the side fairing by screws so it helps to keep all the fairings together so u may wanna consider that. Also the rear side fairings will expose areas like brake fluid and raditor fluid so its open to sabtaoge by pass byers.

thats my 4 cents worth.

I have dunlop arrowmax on mine (gt501) and it works great. Though this likely has no impact on the quality of the tire you now have. Did a quick google search for dunlop and ( K45F or H45F) and couldn't find any info on it.

Like dean said the 3ln looks fine naked (2kr's look sick). I think I like your idea of getting it on the road, and then worrying about the fairings after (rear fairings under the seat are a must though, I assume that those are ok). It could be a while before you find a pair of fairings in the right colour. It may be easier even to just to buy other wrong colour fairings and then also repaint the bike?

Keep us updated though!

Oh - and I would suggest, if you haven't already, clean or replace the airfilter, and definitely change the oil! If you have just bought it you never know when the oil was changed last. Have no clue about where to get fork seals but would assume virtually any motorcycle repair place could order the appropriate ones in for you.
